Cliffs Of Moher

The Cliffs of Moher, one of Ireland’s most celebrated natural attractions, rise dramatically from the Atlantic Ocean along the County Clare coastline. Stretching for 14 kilometres and reaching heights of up to 214 meters (702 feet), these cliffs offer breath-taking views and an unforgettable experience for visitors.

The sheer vertical cliffs plunge into the ocean below, creating an awe-inspiring sight. On clear days, you can see the Aran Islands, Galway Bay, and even the mountains of Connemara in the distance. The cliffs are home to diverse flora and fauna, including a wide range of seabirds such as puffins, razorbills, and guillemots.

Difficulty

The paved paths around the visitor centre and main viewing platforms are suitable for visitors of all ages and abilities. These areas provide stunning views without requiring extensive physical effort. The cliff walk from Doolin to Hag’s Head offers breath-taking scenery but includes uneven terrain, steep sections, and exposed areas. It is ideal for those with a reasonable level of fitness and proper footwear. Windy conditions and proximity to the cliff edges can increase the risk of slips and falls. Visitors are strongly encouraged to stay on designated paths and heed weather warnings.
